What to expect from an apometria session
Welcome. Apometria is a spiritual and therapeutic technique aimed at energetic, emotional and spiritual balance. Its purpose is to harmonise a person's subtle fields, helping release blockages, trauma, repeating patterns and unsettled spiritual influences.
During the session we work with the conscious unfolding of the subtle bodies, using the force of directed thought and specific mental commands. These commands are applied by trained mediums and dirigentes, always with the support of the spirit guides and under the guidance of the Divine Light.
What may happen during the session
- Presence of spirit guides
- In some situations, guides of Umbanda or of other lines of work may incorporate through the mediums to assist the process. They bring energy, wisdom and protection to the session.
- Manifestation of suffering spirits (eguns)
- Spirits in need of help may draw near so they can be guided towards the light. This is conducted with respect, firmness and love, within a protected spiritual field.
- Techniques applied
- The session may draw on unfolding of the subtle bodies, memory regression, clearing of fields, recovery of soul fragments and energetic reprogramming, according to what the person needs.
- Physical and emotional sensations
- Some people feel heat, cold, shivers, drowsiness, lightness, spontaneous tears or calm. Each experience is unique and takes place within a safe, spiritually supported field.
Elements used in the space
The space may hold elements characteristic of spiritual work, such as:
- Incense and smudging herbs, to purify the space and the subtle bodies;
- Lit candles, as symbols of light and protection;
- Ritual smoke, used by some incorporated guides;
- Umbanda accessories such as necklaces, cigars, pembas or specific herbs, always for an energetic and spiritual purpose, never a material one.
All of these are part of the vibrational field of the work, helping to cleanse, protect and sustain the energy throughout the session.
After the session
Rest and drink plenty of water in the hours that follow. Avoid alcohol and intense arguments on the same day. If dreams, memories or emotions surface over the following days, take them as part of the cleansing and healing process.
